This was a three-year long project that Michelle was involved with. She took the lead working closely with the executive team of Sovereign Brands. Creative objective included: designing the bottle, cork top, front and back labels, logo, moodboard and art direction. Photos taken by colleague, Vinick Dias.
During the three year period, Michelle and her team went through several design explorations. The iconic plague doctor illustration was drawn by an illustrator based on Michelle's art direction. Scotland flag on the front label reiterates the origin of this whisky. Design of the cork top resembles the "x" pattern embossing on the bottle along with the simplified icon version of the plague doctor illustration. Traditional copper pot stills used in The Deacon's distillation process lend to the iconic shine to the stunning bottle, which looks like nothing else on the shelf or back bar, covered in an ornate pattern and stamped with our iconic mascot.
